Health Benefits

An aid to weight control, lowers cholesterol, fights bacteria, and tooth decay, blocks cancer cells – these are just a few of the many positive effects attributed to tea.  The many health benefits of drinking tea, particularly green tea, have been largely anecdotal and based on human observation, a history going back at least three thousand years.  Until recently, they have been ignored in the realms of Western science and medicine.  All over the world, however, more and more clinical trials are being undertaken to verify the positive effects of substances found in tea, green tea in particular.  There is still a lot to learn and, while green tea is not a “quick fix” solution, it is refreshing and enjoyable.  Drinking tea on a daily basis will certainly contribute to your long term well being.
